Why you shouldn’t focus too much on the commission split in real estate.

When I talk with newer agents, one of the first questions I get is, “What split do you offer?” That’s always a red flag because too many agents focus on getting the highest split and lose sight of what matters in the process. 

Real estate isn’t about how much money you make; it’s about how many clients you serve. If you focus on people, the money will follow. Agents like to brag about their split, but at the end of the day, what good is a high split when you have no clients?
