Five ways to improve your listing and get the home sold quickly.
Do you have a home that has a lot of potential, but you can’t seem to close the deal? To help with this, today we’re sharing five tips to turn that up-and-coming listing into a closed sale:
1. Direct traffic from your social media pages. You’d be surprised how many Realtors don’t do this. Does your social media page say that you’re a Realtor? Do you have a page utilizing your brand? Take advantage of opportunities like Facebook Marketplace, where it’s free to post your listings and you can advertise with paid ads.
2. Highlight local points of interest. This can include parks, landmarks, schools, libraries, or community events. Parents want to know this type of information before buying a home. You’ll also want to highlight any local businesses close to your office, as well as things like gated communities, which is an attractive feature.

3. Share neighborhood data. I don’t mean things like livability scores and crime rates, although those are great to talk about too. What I’m talking about is creating a journey for your buyers. What’s in the area? Are there bakeries, cafes, or sporting clubs? Sharing this information with your clients can help them envision not only living in the home but also creating a life in that community.
4. Show off the home’s character. This is where you need to sell the benefits and the lifestyle. Don’t just show off the basics like living room space or bedroom and bathroom counts. What makes this home special? Is there a garden or pool in the backyard? Will they have an epic view of downtown? Show it off with pictures and videos, then bring that listing to life. Let your clients know that with patience and some tender loving care, the home could be theirs.
5. Get a pre-listing inspection. This is a good way to give the listing the final value boost before going on the market. It also shows the buyer that you’re taking care of the home.
